Immediate opening: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Harford County, Maryland. The job is at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Day-to-day duties: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat 6+ years on the tools preferred.
