Now hiring: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Winnebago County, Iowa. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry The role involves: • Season and marinate meat on request • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
