Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Renfrewshire, Scotland. The role involves clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
