Occupational health and safety officer — Walker County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Walker County, Georgia. Your main tasks: • Verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment • Ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
