Steel fixer — Smith County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Smith County, Mississippi. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. Day-to-day duties: • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
