Gang bricklayer — Kent County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Kent County, Delaware. You should have: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day-to-day duties: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
