Stainless steel welder — Braxton County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Braxton County, West Virginia. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day-to-day duties: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Performance bonus on top of base pay.
