Great opportunity: we are hiring a power float operator in Delta County, Michigan. You will be based on a high-rise slab pour. Ideal candidate: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers You will float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days.
