Pressman wanted in City and Borough of Wakefield

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a pressman in City and Borough of Wakefield, England. You will work at a garment factory. On the job you will handle: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Requirements: • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. £3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
