Immediate opening: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits You should have: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Physically fit for long hours behind the wheel • Current Driver CPC qualification card Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
