Steel erection rigger • Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area, Lagos State

Vacancy available: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Area, Lagos State. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; read lift plans and method statements before starting; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; guide loads through tight openings into their final position; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Rotating shifts.
