Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Union Parish, Louisiana. What we are looking for: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection The role involves: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
