Stainless steel welder — Warren County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Warren County, Indiana. You will work at an automotive body and exhaust shop. On a typical shift you will set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends.
