The role involves check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle.
