Great opportunity: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Lee County, Texas. Day-to-day duties: • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
