Now hiring: we are hiring a fettler in Walworth County, Wisconsin. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $140 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
