Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Kano Municipal, Kano State. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium You will control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
