Foundry worker — Kent

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Kent, England. Ideal candidate: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On a typical shift you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £15 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
