Now hiring: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Ringim, Jigawa State. The job is on a high-rise building site. Day to day you will calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; read lift plans and method statements before starting; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Confident with standard crane hand signals At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. ₦130,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
