Hand presser wanted in Arlington County

Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Arlington County, Virginia. The job is at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Give each garment a final press before packing What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases 5+ years on the tools preferred.
