Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Auyo, Jigawa State. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Day-to-day duties: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
