Sand plant operator • Clay County, Texas

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Clay County, Texas. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
