Great opportunity: gantry crane operator (England)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Coventry, England. The job is on a bridge and infrastructure project. Day to day you will hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging 4+ years on the tools preferred. Pay around £2,800 per month, based on your experience. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
