Vacancy available: we are hiring a butcher in Brown County, Texas. You will work at a halal meat counter. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths On a typical shift you will debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; season and marinate meat on request; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. 5+ years on the tools preferred.
