Great opportunity: we are hiring a plant operator (dozer) in Gateshead, England. You will be based at an open-cast mine. You will spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction; refuel the machine and record running hours; clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin; push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving. You should have: • Good understanding of cut-and-fill and batter slopes • Able to read grade stakes, drawings and site levels • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
