Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts On a typical shift you will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings.
