Groundsman — Middlesex County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundsman in Middlesex County, Virginia. The role involves: • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings What we are looking for: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Happy to work outdoors in all weather • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
