Urgent requirement: we are hiring a conventional mill operator in Trafford, England. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade Day to day you will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing.
