Counter butcher • Leh, Ladakh

Vacancy available: we are hiring a counter butcher in Leh, Ladakh. On a typical shift you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders. We are looking for knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required; quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths. 3+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift.
