Vacancy available: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Wise County, Virginia. You will work at a busy retail butcher's shop. Day-to-day duties: • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools What we are looking for: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Part-time with flexible hours.
