Vacancy available: we are hiring a shuttering charge hand in Yusufari, Yobe State. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Day-to-day duties: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line • Brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement • Fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints Six days a week, one day off.
