Laundry presser • Lunglei, Mizoram

Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Lunglei, Mizoram. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Full-time with occasional weekends.
