Vacancy available: we are hiring an abattoir worker in Pershing County, Nevada. You will be based at an abattoir or slaughterhouse. Day-to-day duties: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Season and marinate meat on request • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day Six days a week, one day off.
