Landscape gardener — Halifax County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a landscape gardener in Halifax County, Virginia. What we are looking for: • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers • Valid driving licence for travel between sites You will dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds; water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings; mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers. Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
