Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Eleme, Rivers State. The job is in a steel fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket ₦65,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
