Furniture maker — Kossuth County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a furniture maker in Kossuth County, Iowa. The job is in a bespoke joinery workshop. You will measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge; cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet; build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions; hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles; assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops; install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails. Requirements: • Good eye for detail and a clean finish • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • CSCS card for site-based work an advantage $260 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
