Vacancy available: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Phelps County, Nebraska. Day to day you will debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. You should have: • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
