Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Etsako Central, Edo. The job is on the moulding line. On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. ₦210,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
