Vacancy available: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Clark County, Illinois. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for bending, lifting and long hours outdoors • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Able to safely operate mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers Day-to-day duties: • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
