Now hiring: we are hiring a horticulturist in Brown County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste • Weed flower beds and borders by hand and with a hoe • Spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease • Plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting 3+ years on the tools preferred.
