GTAW welder wanted in Grayson County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Grayson County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Your main tasks: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
