Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Orsu, Imo State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles 6+ years on the tools preferred.
