Vacancy available: we are hiring a tree and shrub pruner in Johnson County, Georgia. The job is in a botanical garden. Day-to-day duties: • Repot nursery stock and pot on cuttings • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed • Cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs • Prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines Ideal candidate: • Valid driving licence for travel between sites • Previous experience as a gardener or in grounds maintenance • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
