Now hiring: we are hiring a head butcher in Wood County, Ohio. You will be based in a hotel or restaurant butchery. You should have: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required Day to day you will dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. We offer $5,400 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
