Immediate opening: VMC operator (England)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a VMC operator in Nottingham, England. The job is in a die and mould making unit. You will mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Able to grind and set HSS cutters At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
