What we are looking for: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • 2+ years experience working as a butcher On the job you will handle: • Weigh, price and label cuts for the display case • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Stuff and link fresh sausages with casings • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
