Earthmoving equipment operator • Mackinac County, Michigan

Vacancy available: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Mackinac County, Michigan. You will be based in an open-cast quarry. Requirements: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Reliable, punctual and able to get to site • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control On the job you will handle: • Load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage • Inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs Six days a week, one day off.
