Furnace operator wanted in Dawson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a furnace operator in Dawson County, Texas. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling You will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles. Full-time with occasional weekends. $3,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
