Day-to-day duties: • Buff and polish the finished panel to remove imperfections • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line • Replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer • Check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports • Own basic hand tools (hammers, dollies, files) Six days a week, one day off.
