Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Wayne County, Michigan. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding On a typical shift you will operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
